The Rutherfordton Clubhouse is the community center for the Town. Built in the mid 1930’s from site cut trees, the Clubhouse was the result of a partnership between the Civilian Conservation Corps, the Town of Rutherfordton, Rutherford Hospital and other private donors. The facility has been used by generations for weddings, receptions, showers, anniversaries, birthday parties, civic organizations, family reunions, class reunions, dances, Christmas parties, business luncheons, non-profit organizations, and individual private parties.

The first phase of the Clubhouse renovation was completed in fall 2008. The beautiful restoration in combination with modern updates create a truly unique space of warmth, character, and convenience. The restoration included the renovation and expansion of the existing clubhouse to improve accessibility for citizens with disabilities, adding a deck, increasing capacity, creating a caterer-friendly kitchen, improving parking, and making the meeting space adaptable for a variety of events. All of this was upgraded while restoring the historical aspects of the structure. Phase two will include the development of fitness trails, green space, and a picnic shelter on the grounds. The grounds will also host a spur of the Overmountain Victory Trail currently being developed as part of the Heritage Trail System.
Clubhouse Rental Information:
Location: 241 Clubhouse Drive, Rutherfordton NC 28139 (off of Highway 108 behind Willow Ridge Nursing Home).
Capacity is 156 people. There are 20 - 60" round tables and 150 chairs available for use.
Hours available for rental are 8 a.m. - 12:00 a.m., so please allow yourself adequate time for clean up.
Rental Fee (Resident Rates are for citizens that reside in Rutherfordton Town Limits):
Resident Weekends and Holidays $200.00
Resident Monday – Thursday $115.00
Resident Cash Deposit (Per Rental) $150.00
Non-Resident Weekends and Holidays $250.00
Non-Resident Monday – Thursday $115.00
Non-Resident Cash Deposit (Per Rental) $200.00
* $25.00 Daily Discount for multi-day rentals for residents only*
A $150-$200 cash deposit is required when the key is picked up and is refundable once the key is returned and the clubhouse has been inspected for damages.
