Henry C. Giles, Jr.

Henry and his wife Nancy Morris Giles (a native of Rutherfordton) moved to Rutherfordton from Cowpens, SC in 2002. He has worked at Spartanburg Community College since 1969, where he served as Executive Vice President for Business Affairs from 1993 until 2012 when he was named President. Henry obtained his associate’s degree from Gardner Webb Junior College and his AB degree in mathematics from Converse College. He also completed graduate work at the University of South Carolina and Nova University. Henry is a member of Rutherfordton First Baptist Church. He was active in the Spartanburg community before relocating to Rutherfordton. He is a member of the Kiwanis Club of Rutherfordton and has served in various offices with the Club, including the president. His hobbies include golf, yard work, and travel.
