Planning & Zoning Services

Rutherfordton's Planning & Zoning aims to foster an attractive, economically, and environmentally healthy community that is safe, diverse, and livable for all. The Department includes Planning and Zoning, Code Enforcement, Floodplain Management, and other development services. It is co-managed by the Town Manager and Code Enforcement Officer. The planning process is intended to improve the health, safety, and welfare of the community.
