N. Washington St. & U.S. 64 Roundabout (HN-0019)

This project was added to the State Transportation Improvement Program (STIP) in October of 2023 after the town’s application for the Carbon Reduction Program (CRP) was approved. The CRP reduces transportation emissions through the development of State carbon reduction strategies and by funding projects designed to reduce transportation emissions.

This project will drastically improve safety and functionality at this intersection by allowing the continuous flow of traffic along U.S. 74, N. Washington Street, and U.S. 64. The project is currently in the preliminary design phase with a tentative schedule to have a planning document in March of 2025, Right-of-Way (ROW) acquisition in August of 2025, and a construction begin date of February 2026.
